. Heat loss = Money loss.

Heat loss through air: The performance of radiant barrier is unsurpassed for upward winter heat and it has an added efficiency for downward summer heat because of the absence of convection currents.

Heat loss through floors: Heat is lost thru floors primarily by radiation (up to 97%) when radiant barrier insulation is installed in the ground floors and crawl spaces of the cold buildings, it prevents the heat rays from penetrating down, reflecting the heat back into the building, thereby warming the floor surfaces. Since radiant barrier is non permeable, it is unaffected by ground vapors.  Results vary due to certain conditions.

Q. How easily can I start to save Money?
A. Simply by laying the radiant barrier on top of your existing ceiling insulation you can significantly reduce your heating and cooling bills, extend the life of your heater and air conditioner, as well as increase the comfort of your home.
Q. How much can radiant barrier save?

A. Since everyone's home and lifestyle are different, we can not calculate precisely for each home. However it's reasonable to expect that an attic radiant barrier can save 20 - 30 % of your annual cooling and heating costs. This representation is based on my own experience, in my homes for the past 24 years. Please also see out testimonials page with our Happy Customers...

Q. What other ways can I save energy and better heat and cool my home, making it more comfortable?

A. There are many things one can do. One of the easiest most cost effective ways is to install ceiling fans.

Q. What is a radiant barrier?

A. A radiant barrier is a layer of aluminum foil placed in an airspace to block radiant heat transfer between a heat radiating surface (such as a hot roof) and a heat absorbing surface (such as a conventional attic insulation). There are many different applications for Radiant Barrier.

Q. How should I install radiant barrier in my attic?

A. The most effective way to install a radiant barrier foil is to simply staple to the underside of the top chord of the roof trusses or to the underside of the roof ducking.

Q. What tools are needed to install Radiant Barrier?

A. You don't need any fancy tools all you will need is a staple gun, a pair of scissors and tape. It couldn't be easier!

Q. How would I insulate my already insulated attic? Do I need to remove my insulation first?

A. No, you can lay the Radiant Barrier right over your existing insulation. Staple a layer under the pitch of the roof and this will give you year round savings without a lot of hassles.

Q. Which side does the Kraft paper face when installing?

A. Kraft paper always faces the exterior of the building, to protect the Radiant Barrier from any deterioration like dust build up, pitting and moisture. No breakdown of material can occur then, without the Kraft protection the foil will deteriorate.

Q. Does our Radiant Barrier come with a guarantee?

A. Yes only our Thermalkool Radiant Barrier comes with a lifetime guarantee which is 50 years! Only Our Company's Radiant Barrier  is designed with a layer of Kraft paper  which makes it protected and will not breakdown, therefore we offer a Lifetime guarantee  because it will not deteriorate from dust and other foreign matter  buildup that would lesson our products effectiveness like other Radiant Barriers.

Q. Can this Radiant Barrier be attached right to the basement walls or do we need to put in studs first?

A. You should use a stud or furring strip or 3/4 inch foam glued right to the concrete walls to create and air space then attach the Radiant Barrier. is layers is recommended.

Q. How soon can I expect a payback for adding this Radiant barrier to my structure?

A. In most applications it is a 1-2 year Total Payback! Depending on how much you use, it's the BIGGEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Results may vary depending on usage and conditions
